Club La Costa Sponsors Member’s Marathon Success
Club La Costa member Baltazar De Sousa recently finished an impressive 36th overall in the 2011 Paris Marathon – clocking a very creditable time of 2h 31m 49s.
The heat is on for “The Smile Mile 2010″
At 9.00am on 23rd July, the organisers and helpers, all members of CLC resorts staff and The Smile Foundation, were greeted with temperatures in the high 20’s as they went about their task of preparing another fun day for the 3rd Smile Mile. Despite the thermometer rising rapidly to over 35ºC by mid afternoon, all were determined to be ready for the off at 8.00pm.
Smile Mile 2008
Seemingly one step down from the madness of running across a searing desert with nothing other than a rucksack for company, the Club La Costa based Smile Foundation (La Fundación Sonrisa) hosted a charity fun run around it’s Costa del Sol resort on the 23rd July 2008.
The Christmas Smile 2009
Throughout last December, staff at Club La Costa’s offices on the Costa del Sol made a collective effort to donate items of non-perishable food for local families in need.
The response was fantastic and resulted in 30 large boxes being filled with groceries, which were taken in staff cars to the Lions Club of Mijas for onward distribution to social centres and family homes in time for Christmas
