Included in the top five travel destinations within the UK are two Scottish cities according to an online booking agency.
Both Edinburgh and Glasgow ranked highly as destinations booked in January, Edinburgh in fact was in second place only to London.
Glasgow came in fourth place behind Manchester and VisitScotland chairman Mike Cantlay welcomed the news saying: “To see both Edinburgh and Glasgow feature in the UK’s top five destinations is tremendously welcome.
“With history at every turn and newly refurbished attractions such as the National Portrait Gallery, the National Museum of Scotland and a wide array of great dining experiences available, Edinburgh continues to charm visitors.”
