: Spring comes early at Trenython Manor

There are certainly no signs of mid-winter gloom at Trenython Manor this year, in fact, the gardens and surrounding woodland are positively blooming as these pictures by Resort Manager Nick Waddington prove.

Nick and the Trenython gardeners have been amazed at the abundance of flowers that are starting to appear so early this year throughout the resort. Native primroses that usually flower between March and May have been appearing in January.

The same goes for snowdrops, hydrangeas, camellias and gorse, all of which are starting to flower due to the mild wet winter experienced in Cornwall. In addition, the hardy fuchsias that usually flower from June to September seem to be completely confused and “haven’t stopped flowering from last year”, commented Nick.
