Visitors heading to the Sunshine State in the days immediately after Christmas will find that the Yuletide spirit is still strong and there’s plenty on offer to enthral the whole family. One of the most exhilarating festive season displays is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, just 6.5 miles from CLC Worldwide’s Encantada resort.
The breathtaking display features millions of glittering lights – entire buildings are blanketed in wondrous webs of colour and thousands more lights form jolly carousels, angels and Santa Claus and his reindeer. Every 10 minutes or so the lights dim, and then spring dramatically back to life accompanied by rousing seasonal music. The fabulous display will run until January 7th.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood Heydays of the 1930s and 1940s as well as thrilling rides and spectacular attractions based on blockbuster movies and top TV shows. It’s here that Under 12s can hone their light sabre skills in the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy before taking on Darth Vader himself. The whole family can buckle up for the thrilling 3D ride that takes you to a galaxy far, far away.
If you are a fan of American Idol then head to the American Idol Experience, where you can decide who wins the auditions by voting on the keypad at the side of your seat. And if you are lucky you could get the chance to take to the stage and audition! There’s something for everyone at this Disney Park dedicated to entertainment.
