England football squad to train on the Costa del Sol

England manager Fabio Capello has confirmed he will be bringing the national football squad to the Costa del Sol for a week’s training session ahead of the 2012 European Championships in Poland.

They will be spending six days in May at the Marbella Paradise of Football and Sports complex just down the road from CLC World’s Costa del Sol resorts.

The facility of four full-sized pitches will provide a base for the team to train ahead of the tournament which Capello hopes will be a more relaxed affair than the misery of the World Cup in South Africa.

After last Friday’s draw for the finals, Capello said: ”We will go to Marbella for five or six days. It’s very nice.”

Club La Costa World’s Costa del Sol resorts are a very short drive from Marbella and the England football squad’s training camp.

News of their arrival will surely prove popular with fans who would like to see the team train and catch a glimpse of their favourite players while soaking up some Spanish sunshine of their own.
