More news from the International Golf Travel Market at Belek in Turkey. A new survey of UK golfers found that 70 percent claimed that information and advice from friends was the most influential when researching where to go on holiday.
Other key influencers were golf magazines (43%), golf professional recommendations (42%) and online blogs and course reviews (35%). The survey also found that more than a third (36.1%) of UK golfers used a social media website when researching their last golf holiday, while almost half of under 30-year-olds used social media sites for research – Trip Advisor being the most referenced source (26.3%).
Over half of the golfers surveyed (52%) book their international golf breaks between six and twelve months in advance of their departure dates. Meanwhile the most popular accommodation type for golfing holidaymakers was self-catering accommodation (33.3%) followed by B&B (25.6%), half board (20.7%), all inclusive (15.6%) and room only (5.8%).
Good news then for golfers that accommodation at the new Club La Costa World Kusadasi Golf and Spa resort boasts well appointed, ultra modern kitchens with the very latest in appliances and labour saving devices. Like all CLC World resorts Kusdasi Golf & Spa has a well stocked mini supermarket on site and some excellent dining options for when its chef’s night off.
