While the UK bathes in a few days of unseasonally warm sunshine, it serves as a timely reminder that the southern Mediterranean still offers sustained sunny, rain free days at this time of year with temperatures in the mid to high 20s Centigrade.
In fact, for many holidaymakers, the temperatures in early autumn can be much more comfortable than high summer and yet the sea is still warm enough to enjoy. And of course, there are also the advantages of off peak travel – with flights, accommodation and attractions often much cheaper while resorts and beaches are less crowded.
Club La Costa offers the opportunity of autumn sunshine at a choice of resorts in Spain and Turkey. At Marina del Sol on Spain’s famous Costa del Sol, several separate holiday resorts combine to a create a self-contained, secure community connected by a free land train and offering a huge range of activities and facilities with a great choice of restaurants and bars.
Meanwhile, in Turkey, there is the Apollonium Spa & Beach Resort on the beachfront in Bozbuk Bay – one of Turkey’s most beautiful locations – with spectacular white sand beaches and crystal clear sea, and Kusadasi Golf & Spa – Club La Costa’s first residential golf development – which is located just outside the popular town, high up on green, pine-clad hills overlooking the sparkling Aegean.
