Club La Costa members and guests seeking an “off the beaten track” Florida holiday experience can take a scenic boat tour of Winter Parks’ lakes and canals.
The tour starts from Lake Osceola in a quiet suburb less than 10 minutes from downtown Orlando making it the perfect sightseeing trip for holidaymakers staying at Club La Costa’s Encantada resort.
Passengers take their seats on an 18 person pontoon for an hour long guided tour through three of the seven lakes and two, narrow manmade canals on the peaceful Winter Park network.
There is plenty of flora and fauna to view during the trip and occasionally one may see cranes swooping for food or an alligator lazing on a nearby bank.
Another key feature of the scenic Florida cruise is the opulent private residences and estates that stretch out along the shores of the lakes with swaying palms and towering cypress trees dotted among them.
The picturesque cruises depart every hour and the dock is less than five minutes from Park Avenue, a popular upscale shopping district.
Operating hours are daily from 10am – 4pm except Christmas.
Winter Park is situated just north of central Orlando, driving time from Club La Costa’s Encantada resort is approximately 45 minutes.
