The Eden Project – 10 Years Old and Still Growing

The Eden Project, the world’s first “eco-theme park” is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. The Project has been an outstanding success and since 2001 the biomes (giant bubble-like greenhouses) have become an established landmark and international visitor attraction for Cornwall and the UK.

From relatively small beginnings the Project is now a huge enterprise with features including the famous rainforest biome (with a new aerial walkway); a myriad of plants and gardens from different climates around the world, educational programmes and regeneration schemes to name just a few. In fact there is so much to see, do and learn it is very difficult to truly appreciate the Project in a single visit.

Club La Costa has two resorts providing an ideal base from which to visit Eden project – Hustyns is a luxury country hotel with an exclusive health and beauty spa resort near North Cornwall’s legendary Bodmin Moor and Trenython Manor is an elegant English stately home located between the picturesque ancient ports of Fowey and Charlestown and overlooks St Austell Bay, Cornwall.
