The “Make Holidays Greener week” kicked off on July 2nd.This annual campaign, aimed at promoting sustainable tourism, is run by The Travel Foundation and is widely supported by the travel industry, including ABTA (the Association of British Travel Agents).
Club La Costa is committed to green tourism and we make every week a green week, with environmentally sustainable initiatives being a key feature in all our properties.
All Club La Costa resorts boast many eco-friendly and energy saving features, and use recycled water to nurture beautiful landscaped gardens. Our three UK resorts, Duchally Country Estate in Scotland, and Hustyns and Trenython Manor in Cornwall, have received a silver award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme for environmental friendliness.
Right now Trenython Manor is trialling a giant composter which converts kitchen waste into an organic fertiliser to feed the beautiful gardens within the 24 acre estate.
