For five weeks from the beginning of May, tourists to Tenerife will be in divine company as the likes of Zeus and Hades take up temporary residence on the island.
The Clash of the Titans sequel returns to Tenerife, with cast including Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes coming back to the location which made the first epic adventure such a huge success. Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced that virtually the entire cast will return to Tenerife.
The producer of the film, Basil Iwanyks, has attributed the island’s stunning scenery and diversity to the first film’s success and the reason for the cast’s return for the sequel, saying ‘You can travel the whole world in search of the scenery that you have here at your fingertips in Tenerife – it is a great resource for film-makers.’
The Canarian production company, AIE, is also in place to co-produce the film with a Canarian team of 150 professionals and more than 200 extras, with filming predominantly taking place in the ochre agricultural terraces, fishing villages in the south of the island, and in the pine forests and lava fields.
