Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels are delighted to play host to the distinguished English choir Oxford Pro Musica Singers, who will perform a short concert at the Club La Costa San Diego Suites resort in southern Spain on Sunday March 6th.
Founded in 1977, the OPM Singers are acknowledged as one of the UK’s finest chamber choirs with a broad repertoire of music covering a wide variety of periods and styles. They have made numerous recordings and have enjoyed success singing at celebrated events and with world-renowned orchestras and conductors across Britain and abroad.
In their home base of Oxford, the choir’s sell-out Christmas concerts have become legendary, while their highest profile engagement saw them singing in four episodes of the popular TV series ‘The Vicar of Dibley.’
Founder and conductor of OPM Singers Michael Smedley, currently Director of Music at the City of London School, served as the Elected Members’ Director of the Club La Costa Vacation Club from 2004-2009. The choir will be staying at the Club La Costa resort in the Costa del Sol during their short tour in Spain, which includes concerts at the San Miguel Arcangeles church in Torremolinos and at the Town Hall in Mijas Pueblo.
