Take a `walk on the wild side´with Selwo Adventure on the Costa del Sol
Selwo Adventure, located in Estepona on Spain’s Costa del Sol, is gearing up for a fun-filled season of surprises and new additions.
February 18, 2011 marks the beginning of the exciting, new season at Selwo Adventure. This park is widely known for its impressive array of wild animals which are presented in a natural environment.
This year proves to be jam-packed with a great deal of exciting and new species, new enclosures, and the the development of programmes that promote Conservation and Reproduction of Species in Danger of Extinction.
Selwo Adventure is a great place to visit while enjoying your holiday on the Costa del Sol. Just a 40 minute drive from Club La Costa’s stunning Marina del Sol Resort transports you from the sandy beaches and chic coastal towns to this wildlife haven. You can experience a trek through wild territory in which more than 200 species of animals from around the globe are allowed to roam in conditions similar to those of their natural habitats. This gives visitors the opportunity to see the park’s animals up close and personal, while in a safe, protected environment.
Some of the animals that you can encounter include: Bengal Tigers, Northern Bald Ibis, Angolan Giraffes, Red Pandas, Emperor Tamarins, European Bison, and Kanvar, the only Asian elephant to be born in Spain, who turns three years old this year.
